About Us

Rhino’s Boxing Academy was opened in January 2020 by professional boxer, Ryan Davies. The vision of the Academy is to change the perception of the standard/old school boxing gym. We feel that boxing is for people of all ages and abilities and our classes are designed in a way to get the most out of everyone who steps through our doors.

We have a big belief that good technique should be developed from day 1 and this in turn will enhance our members whole experience of boxing.  Our classes/121’s cater for everybody from complete beginner to experienced fighter and we can reach and develop everyones personal goals and aspirations through boxing.

Gradings

Here at Rhino’s Boxing Academy we feel that it is very important for children to have short, medium and long term goals. Goal setting for children is important because it gives them a sense of purpose that can improve their confidence and build their self-esteem. It also helps them to focus and make better decisions.

We have developed a teaching syllabus which all of our classes are structured around. The syllabus is split into several levels, which the students work towards throughout the year. Gradings take place 3 times a year; during a grading the students are required to demonstrate their understanding and ability of the different techniques needed for that level.

At each grading the student will receive a medal and certificate.
